Denise is the new owner of A Flair For Hair, bringing 47 years of industry experience and two decades of successful salon ownership to her work. She combines a deep technical expertise with a warm, friendly approach that keeps guests feeling welcomed and cared for. Denise oversees all aspects of guest services, front desk operations, and the overall business, ensuring the salon runs smoothly and professionally each day. Outside the salon, she enjoys spending quality time with family and friends, as well as boating and gardening.

Outside the salon, I’m a busy mom of three who dreams of warm weather and palm
trees. I’m an animal lover through and through and even raise my own chickens,
they’re part of the family!
Health and wellness are huge parts of my life. I’m a certified personal trainer
and nutrition coach, and I bring that same passion for feeling good into my
work, creating styles that fit your lifestyle and make you feel amazing inside
and out.

Hi! My name is Kalyn! I’m a dedicated hairstylist with a passion for creating looks that make my clients feel confident and seen. With a strong eye for detail and a love for modern trends, I specialize in personalized cuts, color, and styling that fit each client’s unique lifestyle. My goal is to provide a comfortable, welcoming experience while delivering beautiful, healthy hair every time.
Sam Maxwell is a newer stylist. She attended a small school in Mount Pleasant and graduated with her license in 2023. She had been working part time at A Flair for Hair ever since. Sam also has a Bachelor’s degree in Child and Family Development and considers herself a world traveler. Some of her favorite places she has visited are Filderstat, Germany, Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand and Mt. Rigi in Switzerland. While Sam doesn’t have a service she prefers to do, she makes sure everyone who sits in her chair feels heard about their hair concerns and leaves feeling better than when they came in!
Front Desk/Guest Services From start to finish, Haley ensures a smooth and positive experience for all of our guests. In her free time she is attending Mid-Michigan College for Criminal Justice and spending time with her son. Haley looks forward to assisting you with all your scheduling needs.

Hi, my name is Mallory, as front desk coordinator you’ve heard my
voice on the phone but here is a bit about me!
I have been in the salon
industry doing hair since 2020 to present day and have loved every minute of
it! With my own hair styling experience, I am confident that I can get you
booked for exactly what you need to feel your very best.
When I am not in
the salon answering phone calls or mixing bowls of color, I love to make
sculptures, draw, and practice ballet. Trailing behind me at all times you will
find my two cats Vinny and Jules. In my down time I have also found myself baking
from brown butter chocolate chip cookies to cinnamon coffee cake. Well that’s
